The Celtic Rose comes to Mexborough

Article by Mexborough Business Centre

Doncaster’s Celtic Rose Irish Dance school, run by Claire Scherer organized and ran a superbly successful feis (Irish dance competition) at Mexborough Business Centre over the bank holiday weekend.

The place was alive with a stream of beautifully adorned, colourful costumes worn by the traditional style Irish dancers, ranging from 4-40 years of age. Over 200 competitors attended from dance schools all over the UK, taking part in 120 dances over the course of the day. 21 of Claire’s girls entered and several won trophies.

We loved hosting such a vibrant competition, here at Mexborough Business Centre and we very much hope Celtic Rose school of Irish dancing will choose our venue again for next year!
