The highlights of the evening include appearances from 3 highly talented poets:

Ripon’s Andy Croft, a well-known poet in his own right and editor of the hugely successful ‘Smokestack Books’ and Roy Marshall who lives in Leicester and is the author of two acclaimed collections of poems.

Read to Write is a grass-roots poetry movement based at the Business Centre in Mexborough and supported by Write Up Our Street. It has been running successfully for three years and currently has over 50 members, an eclectic mix of people, the youngest of which is aged ten, the oldest 80 something. As well as conducting weekly workshops, facilitated by local Art’s Director/Poet, Ian Parks, the group put on regular performances at the Business Centre and further afield, and invite guest speakers and performers for evenings such as this one.

If you wish to attend the event, doors will be open at 7.00pm for drinks at the bar before the evening commences. For any further information, please contact us on 01709 590005.
