Money Raised For The Alzheimer’s Society

Article by Mexborough Business Centre

Pete Newman, Mexborough Business Centre owner presents Alzheimer’s Society Manager, Donna Craven with a £75 cheque, money raised from ticket sales of the Elvis night that was hosted at the centre last month.

The concert aimed to raise awareness of this devastating condition, which affects 850,000 people in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

The Alzheimer’s society has been a tenant at the business centre for many years, but since the recent refurbishment of the building, the centre now has the facilities and the flexibility to host these types of events.

As a weekend venue, the centre is open for parties and evening entertainment. We welcome ideas from the public as what they would like to see hosted at the centre and hopefully we can make many more future donations to this charity and to many others too.
